Job Description Job Title: HGV Refrigeration EngineerLocation : RotherhamSalary : Competitive, depending on experience £40,000 - £45,000Hours : 07:00 - 16:00We are currently recruiting for an On-Site Fridge Engineer / Transport Refrigeration Engineer to join an established transport and logistics operation with a fleet of 50+ HGVs and trailers, including refrigerated vehicles.
HGV Refrigeration Engineer - The RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for keeping the company's refrigerated vehicles operational and ensuring refrigeration units are maintained to a high standard.
Key responsibilities
Servicing and maintaining refrigeration units on HGVs, trailers and vansDiagnosing and repairing refrigeration faultsCarrying out preventative maintenance and routine inspectionsWorking on fridge/freezer units across the commercial vehicle fleetIdentifying mechanical and refrigeration issues and resolving them efficientlyCompleting service sheets, maintenance records and relevant paperworkKeeping accurate records of repairs, servicing and parts usedEnsuring all maintenance documentation is completed accurately and kept up to dateHelping minimise vehicle downtime across the fleetHGV Refrigeration Engineer - About YouWe are looking for someone who is mechanically minded and has practical experience working with refrigerated vehicles or refrigeration systems.
Previous experience as a Fridge Engineer, Refrigeration Engineer or Transport Refrigeration EngineerExperience working on commercial vehicles, HGVs, trailers or vansF-Gas certification or relevant refrigeration gas qualificationGood fault-finding and diagnostic abilityComfortable completing maintenance paperwork and service documentationGood attention to detail when recording work carried outA practical, hands-on approachThe ability to work independently and manage your own workloadHGV Refrigeration Engineer - What's on Offer£40,000 - £45,000 (Depending on experience)Flexible working arrangements28 days' holidayPermanent, on-site positionStreamline Search is a technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the United Kingdom.
