Job Title: Highways Lighting Operative Base Location: Piddlehinton Depot to Cover Dorset Salary: £26,711 to £28,091/annum depending on skills and experience - plus a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.
Working Pattern: Full Time (37 Hours) , Monday Thursday 7:30am-3.30pm, Friday 7:30am-3pm. In this role, youll play an important part in a team responsible for keeping Dorsets roads safe, well lit and operating as they should. Your work will be a mix of planned and reactive maintenance, so no two days are likely to be exactly the same.
Youll help respond to issues as they arise while also carrying out scheduled works to keep the network in good condition. The work you do will directly support our commitments to our clients and the communities we serve, making a real difference to the safety, reliability and experience of road users every day.
In a typical day you might be; Maintaining our streetlighting infrastructure, including streetlights, illuminated signs and subways, carrying out lamp changes, visual inspections and testing. Working alongside teams responsible for electrical connections and installations for new streetlighting infrastructure.
