IT Technician

IT Asset Management & Deployment Support Technician Location: Leatherhead, Surrey (with travel across Surrey) Contract: 6 months Day Rate: £126.24 Start Date: ASAP Positions Available: 1 Venn Group is currently recruiting for an IT Asset Management & Deployment Support Technician to support an organisation based in Surrey on an initial 6-month contract.

The successful candidate will initially be based onsite in Leatherhead, supporting the IT Asset Management team, before assisting with a wider device refresh programme across multiple sites in Surrey. Key Responsibilities Support the day-to-day management and tracking of IT assets, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.

Assist with an IT device refresh programme, replacing desktop PCs across multiple locations. Prepare and deploy pre-built IT equipment, including desktops and mobile phones. Support the IT Service Desk by managing and resolving tickets within the support queue.

Update the asset management system to accurately reflect equipment allocation, deployment and replacement. Travel to different sites across Surrey to assist with device installations and replacements. Provide general IT support to users during the deployment process.

Essential Experience Previous experience in IT support, IT asset management or desktop deployment. Good understanding of IT hardware, including desktop PCs, laptops and mobile devices. Experience maintaining accurate IT asset records and inventory systems.

Familiarity with IT ticketing systems and service desk processes. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a wider IT support team. Desirable Previous experience supporting an IT hardware refresh or rollout programme.

Experience working across multiple sites. Full UK driving licence and access to transport would be beneficial, although work vehicles may be available.
