Job Description - Java Low Latency/Full Stack Engineer (Core Java & C++) Location: London, UK Working Model: Hybrid - 3 days onsite per week Experience: 5-10 years Industry: Financial Services/Investment Banking/Trading Technology About the Role We are looking for an experienced Java Low Latency/Full Stack Engineer with strong expertise in Core Java, C++, Linux, and low-latency network programming.
The successful candidate will work on high-performance trading platforms and Real Time market data distribution systems within a fast-paced financial services environment. This role involves developing and optimising ultra-low-latency applications, improving system performance, and collaborating with trading, quantitative, and engineering teams to deliver highly reliable and scalable solutions.
Essential Skills & Experience 5-10 years of software engineering experience, preferably within investment banking, electronic trading, or high-frequency trading (HFT). Strong hands-on programming experience in Core Java and C++ .
Extensive experience developing high-performance, low-latency applications. Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems, Kernel bypass, and network performance optimisation. Experience with low-latency network programming and high-throughput systems.
Knowledge of Real Time market data distribution and financial market data feeds. Experience with market data protocols such as Refinitiv ETA, Denali, MPAC, and Beacon. Understanding of EMEA, US Options, and MiFID II market structures.
Experience with deployment tools and automation, ideally UBS Bluezone and UBSDeploy. Strong performance tuning, profiling, debugging, and troubleshooting skills. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. ...
