Kitchen Porter – Temporary Ongoing Role Location: South Kensington, London Hours: Monday–Friday | Flexible shifts, typically 11am–4pm, 9am–5pm or similar Contract: Temporary, ongoing We’re looking for a reliable, hardworking and conscientious Kitchen Porter to join our team at a busy, fast-paced café in South Kensington.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working as part of a team, takes pride in keeping things clean and organised, and is happy to get stuck in wherever needed. The Role As a Kitchen Porter, you’ll play an important role in keeping the kitchen running smoothly.
You’ll be working alongside the kitchen and front-of-house teams in a busy environment where teamwork, speed and cleanliness are essential.
Your responsibilities will include
Washing dishes, pots, pans and kitchen equipment Keeping the kitchen and work areas clean and organised Supporting chefs and the wider kitchen team Keeping equipment and surfaces clean throughout service Taking out rubbish and maintaining waste areas Helping with deliveries and putting stock away Assisting with basic kitchen duties when required Following food hygiene and health & safety standards Keeping on top of cleaning during busy periods About You We’re looking for someone who is: Hardworking, reliable and conscientious A positive team player Punctual and well organised Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Happy to get stuck in and help wherever needed Able to work efficiently under pressure Takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is preferred, but a good attitude and strong work ethic are most important...
