Overview
In this role you lead a multidisciplinary Water design team to deliver potable water, wastewater, and flood infrastructure from feasibility to handover. You will work on high-profile UK projects and international programmes, shaping technical delivery and client collaboration. You will mentor junior engineers and develop packages that meet project goals and regulatory standards. Responsibilities
- Lead technical delivery of water, wastewater, and flood infrastructure projects across the design lifecycle
- Manage key work packages from concept to handover, coordinating with teams, clients, and suppliers
- Collaborate with clients and partners to secure stakeholder buy-in and drive innovative solutions
- Perform line manager duties and mentor junior team members to develop project talent
Key requirements
- Experience delivering water and wastewater engineering projects with multi-disciplinary knowledge, including treatment schemes and/or pipeline design
- Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary design teams
- Experience with water company, consultancy, or contractor in similar roles
- Hands-on experience designing complex wastewater treatment solutions
- Degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering (or related) and/or equivalent experience
- Chartered or Incorporated with ICE, CIWEM, or working towards it
- Experience in feasibility studies, options appraisal, and concept/outline design for water sector clients and D&B contractors
