Lead Mechanical/ HVAC Design Engineer

Overview

In this role you lead mechanical design and coordination for life sciences and industrial projects, guiding work through RIBA stages. You will collaborate with a senior team, manage key client accounts, and contribute to bids and resource planning. The position offers a clear path to Associate level and exposure to landmark life sciences projects within a prestigious consultancy. You will drive high-performance building services design and work closely with clients and design teams to shape transformative projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, planning and coordination of life sciences and industrial projects through all RIBA Stages
• Attend client and design team meetings
• Manage key client accounts
• Produce high-performance mechanical building services designs for landmark projects
• Assist Director with project bids, contracts, resource and fee forecasting

Key requirements

• At least 5 years experience in Mechanical Design Engineering
• Experience on laboratories, clean rooms or healthcare projects
• Experience in a client-facing role
• Good commercial awareness
