Legal PA Team Leader

We are recruiting for an experienced Legal PA Team Leader to join a leading professional services firm, supporting legal secretarial teams across Manchester, Leeds and Glasgow. This is a senior leadership role, responsible for managing and coordinating PAs, EAs and Team Assistants, ensuring a high-quality and consistent support service across the offices. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the legal secretarial teams, supporting performance, development and engagement.
• Coordinate workloads, allocations and holiday/absence cover to ensure a seamless service.
• Act as a key point of contact for team members and senior stakeholders, resolving issues and providing guidance.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, appraisals and performance management.
• Oversee billing support, ensuring accuracy and deadlines are maintained.
• Drive improvements and contribute to wider secretarial service initiatives.
• Provide hands-on support to fee earners when required.
• Regularly travel between the Manchester, Leeds and Glasgow offices. About You
• Previous mid/senior-level legal secretarial experience with leadership or line management responsibility.
• Strong people management skills, including experience handling performance and absence matters.
• Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and numeracy skills, with billing experience highly desirable.
• Confident using MS Office; experience with Elite or similar legal finance systems would be advantageous.

Based within reasonable travelling distance of Manchester, Leeds or Glasgow and willing to travel regularly between offices. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Legal PA/Secretarial Manager or senior Legal Secretary looking to take the next step into a broader leadership role.
