Maintenance Engineer

Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer Location: Ely, Cambridgeshire Salary: £55,000 The shift pattern – nice and simple: Monday to Friday, rotating weekly between: 6:00am–2:30pm 9:30am–6:00pm 1 weekend in every 3: You'll work Saturday & Sunday, 7:00am–3:30pm.

When you work the weekend, you'll get 2 weekdays off the following week, with flexibility around which days you take. So you'll never work more than 5 days in a week. No nights. Are you a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for a days-based maintenance role with no night shifts?

We're recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join an established engineering team within a busy manufacturing environment. You'll be joining a team of five engineers, reporting directly to the Engineering Manager.

The role is a good mix of planned maintenance, breakdowns, fault finding and continuous improvement. They're open on bias too – whether you're stronger electrically or mechanically, they're happy to consider you providing you're comfortable working across both.

What you'll be doing

Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) Reactive maintenance and breakdowns Electrical and mechanical fault finding Diagnosing faults and reducing production downtime Maintenance and improvement of production machinery Continuous improvement and reliability work Engineering projects and equipment modifications Supporting contractors when required

What we're looking for

Maintenance experience within manufacturing, production, food, FMCG or a similar environment Electrical and mechanical maintenance experience Strong fault-finding skills Experience with PPM and reactive maintenance A practical, hands-on approach Engineering qualifications are desirable This Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer position would suit someone looking for a varied maintenance role without having to work nights.
