Job Description Management Accountant (Temp-to-Perm) Manchester City Centre | Hybrid Working | £50,000 - £55,000 Are you a qualified finance professional looking for a new challenge with a successful and growing business?

What You'll Be Doing As Management Accountant, you'll play a key role in supporting the financial performance of the business by providing accurate reporting, insightful analysis, and valuable support to stakeholders across the organisation.
Your responsibilities will include
Producing monthly management accounts and ensuring reporting deadlines are met. Managing accruals, prepayments, journals, and other month-end accounting activities. Preparing payroll journals and completing associated reconciliations.
Delivering meaningful financial analysis and commentary to support informed decision-making. Producing Profit & Loss reports, Balance Sheets, and management information packs. Supporting the creation of flash reports and key performance reporting.
Completing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining strong financial controls. Identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems, and reporting efficiencies. Assisting with year-end procedures, audit preparation, and tax-related activities.
Working closely with colleagues across Finance and supporting business projects when required. About You We're looking for someone who enjoys being part of a team, has strong technical accounting knowledge, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work.
You'll ideally have
ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification (or be in the final stages of qualifying). Experience preparing monthly management accounts. A solid understanding of month-end processes and financial reporting. Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
The ability to confidently communicate financial information to a variety of stakeholders. Excellent Excel skills and experience working with finance systems. A proactive mindset and a passion for improving processes and finding better ways of working.
