Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud platforms and data pipelines
• Engage in the full software development lifecycle from design to deployment
• Provide technical input during system design and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Write well-documented code and contribute to technical documentation
• Troubleshoot production issues and ensure live services run smoothly
• Stay current with technologies and best practices and assess adoption opportunities
• Translate complex technical topics for technical and non-technical audiences
• Contribute to the engineering community

Key requirements

• Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining cloud-based platforms with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Hands-on experience with GCP services (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, Cloud Functions, GKE)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Deployment Manager)
• Strong CI/CD experience (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Cloud Build)
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, Go)
• Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, GKE)
• Solid understanding of security, networking, and identity management in cloud environments (GCP)
• Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Cloud Operations Suite)
• Experience with Git for version control
• Ability to optimize workloads for performance, cost, and reliability on GCP
• Excellent communication and collaboration
• Problem-solving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
