What you'll do as Mechanical Engineer: Support the design, development, integration and validation of mechanical systems across new and existing productsCreate technical specifications, functional design documentation and test proceduresDevelop and maintain Bills of Materials and part specifications to support efficient manufacturing and assemblyProvide mechanical engineering support to manufacturing, operations and technical investigationsContribute to RCA activities with OEMs and support resolution of quality issuesEnsure designs meet requirements across performance, reliability, maintainability and cost of ownershipSupport continuous improvement of existing products and adapt designs for new applications and marketsCollaborate with suppliers on component selection and lifecycle supportPromote strong HSE performance through safe, compliant design and risk assessmentYou are: A motivated Mechanical Engineer with experience in equipment or systems designStrong in mechanical design principles, including analysis (thermal, stress, vibration, flow and noise)Proficient in CAD tools (Creo/ProE or AutoCAD desirable)Familiar with PLM (Enovia/Windchill), MRP (M3) and engineering change processesAble to interpret requirements and produce fabrication, assembly drawings and detailed specificationsA collaborative team player with strong communication and organisational skillsAdaptable, resilient and comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environmentYou'll bring: Experience in mechanical systems design and component selectionKnowledge of DFM/DFA principles and engineering best practiceExposure to powertrain systems (engines, alternators, couplings, AVMs, mounting frames) and associated calculationsUnderstanding of cooling systems, including performance across different environmental conditionsStrong problem-solving ability with a focus on right-first-time, zero-defect deliveryHere's what you'll get: Competitive salary and benefits package, including pension and bonusGenerous holiday allowance with the option to buy or sell additional daysAccess to development opportunities to grow your engineering careerHealth and wellbeing support, including Employee Assistance Programme and GP servicesDiscounts, perks and opportunities to give back through volunteeringOur people are can-do, positive, resilient and persistent.
