Job Description Workshop / Field Engineer£33,000 - £36,000 + Overtime + Company Van + Paid Travel & AccommodationElectrical & Mechanical EngineerIpswich, SuffolkWe are looking to recruit 2 Electrical & Mechanical Engineers to join their established engineering team based in Ipswich.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Pump Engineer, Motor Engineer or Electro-Mechanical Engineer looking for a varied role combining workshop repairs with site-based engineering work.

Working as part of a close-knit engineering team, you'll split your time approximately 50% workshop / 50% field-based, carrying out repairs, overhauls, servicing, fault finding and installations on industrial electrical and mechanical equipment.

The RoleYour responsibilities will include: Stripping, inspecting and assessing electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, fan units and rotating equipmentDiagnosing electrical and mechanical faultsCarrying out repairs, overhauls and rebuildsTesting equipment before dispatchAttending customer sites to remove, install, service and recommission equipmentProducing repair reports and supporting quotationsParticipating in an on-call rota for emergency breakdownsWorking safely both in the workshop and on customer sitesWe're looking for candidates with experience in one or more of the following: Electrical & Mechanical EngineeringElectro-Mechanical EngineeringField Service EngineeringService EngineeringMaintenance EngineeringElectric MotorsPumpsGearboxesRotating EquipmentIndustrial Electrical EquipmentMechanical FittingElectrical Fault FindingMechanical Fault FindingWorkshop EngineeringIndustrial MaintenanceCandidates from roles such as Field Service Engineer, Mechanical Fitter, Electrical Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Workshop Engineer, Pump Engineer, Motor Rewind Engineer, Rotating Equipment Engineer or Service Engineer are all encouraged to apply.
