Rotating early and afternoon shift pattern 45-hour working week Modern tools and equipment Varied and hands-on maintenance work Opportunity to work within a supportive and experienced team Fast-paced production environment with opportunities to develop your practical skills About the Role As a Mechanical Fitter, you will work as part of our fitting and maintenance team, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a production environment. Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to plant breakdowns Use hand tools and power tools to complete maintenance and fabrication tasks Carry out welding and oxy/propane cutting for fabrication work Assemble components and fit pipes and various mechanical parts Follow blueprints, diagrams and detailed work plans to fabricate and assemble components Complete daily inspections and ensure all work is carried out to high safety and quality standards About You We are looking for a practical and reliable individual with previous fitting experience who can work confidently in a busy production environment. Previous Mechanical Fitter experience is essential Experience maintaining and repairing heavy plant equipment Strong practical skills and confidence using hand and power tools Ability to read and work from blueprints, diagrams and measurements Experience with welding and oxy/propane cutting would be beneficial Able to work independently, use your own initiative and contribute effectively as part of a team Equal Opportunities statement We are committed to providing an inclusive workplace where everyone is treated fairly, respectfully and with equal opportunity.
