Job Description NQ+ Litigation Solicitor (Military Claims) Location: Cardiff The Opportunity We are recruiting for an NQ+ Litigation Solicitor to join a specialist military claims team in Cardiff, acting for current and former members of the Armed Forces in claims against the Ministry of Defence.
The team handles a range of military claims, with a particular focus on military deafness and non-freezing cold injuries. This is an excellent opportunity for a claimant litigator to develop their career within a specialist and highly regarded team.
This role will also require the successful candidate to assist with the supervision of a team of paralegals - so this role would be particularly suitable for solicitors looking for the opportunity to build on their management/supervision experience.
The Role You will manage your own caseload, with responsibilities including: Taking initial enquiries and drafting witness evidence Managing disclosure and reviewing documentation Advising and updating clients throughout their claims Preparing court documents and schedules of loss Reviewing medical and expert evidence Assisting with the instruction of Counsel Advising on offers relating to breach of duty and quantum About You We are looking for a solicitor with: A qualified solicitor in England and Wales (NQ+ PQE) Previous experience of claimant litigation Experience managing your own caseload Excellent organisational and attention-to-detail skills Strong client care and communication skills Previous experience of noise-induced hearing loss or military claims would be advantageous but is not essential.
