About the role

As an Originator within GLIGHTS , you will develop and complete a portfolio of commercial opportunities across the light ends value chain, including supply, offtake, storage and logistics. This is a business development and origination role rather than a day-to-day trading position.

You will focus on longer-term commercial opportunities, such as strategic investments and long-term supply or purchase arrangements, that support the objectives of the trading desks. You will build relationships with external counterparties, identify innovative opportunities and work across bp to integrate originated flows into the trading book.

What you will do: Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities across supply, offtake, storage and logistics. Identify and develop strategic positions aligned with bp's global long and short positions. Establish and own trusted counterparty relationships that can unlock proprietary flows and new sources of value.
