Pipe Layer

A leading UK low-carbon heating business is looking for an experienced Pipe Layer to join the Installation Engineering Team, working across sites nationwide. Our client specialises in designing, building, funding and operating heat networks and heat pump systems that are helping decarbonise homes across the country.

Install HDPE and PIP mains and headers within trenches. Work safely around existing utilities and live connections. Carry out electrofusion and butt fusion welding. Complete pressure testing, flow testing and system flushing.

Read and interpret technical drawings and site layouts. Work closely with supervisors, engineers and project managers. Follow all site HSE requirements and safety procedures. Identify and resolve installation issues as they arise.

Experience in water mains, HDPE pipework, headering or PIP installation, ideally within renewable energy projects. NVQ Level 2/3 in Engineering or Plumbing (or equivalent). CABWI Level 2 in Network Construction Operations (Water – Self Lay) desirable.

EUSR Electrofusion and Butt Fusion Welding qualification (or equivalent). Relevant CSCS card. Manual Handling and First Aid qualifications desirable. Strong communication skills and a proactive, team-focused attitude. High attention to detail, with the ability to check and correct own work.

Flexible to travel and work away from home across UK sites. Full-time position, up to £42,500 basic salary per annum depending on experience. 25 days holidays plus bank holidays. Private Medical Insurance after successful completion of probationary period.
