Job Description Private Client Solicitor (NQ – 2 Years PQE) Basildon, Essex Full-Time | Permanent Competitive Salary + Career Development Opportunities Launch Your Private Client Career with a Supportive Team An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Newly Qualified Solicitor or Private Client Solicitor with up to 2 years' PQE to join a growing and well-established law firm in Basildon.
This role offers the opportunity to develop your expertise within a busy Private Client department, working alongside experienced practitioners on a broad range of matters while receiving ongoing support, mentoring and training.
The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional client service and building a long-term career within Private Client law. The Role You will assist with and manage a varied caseload of private client matters, including: Drafting Wills and advising on estate planning Probate and estate administration Lasting Powers of Attorney Deputyship applications Court of Protection matters Trust administration Inheritance Tax and succession planning matters
Your responsibilities will include
Managing files with appropriate supervision depending on experience. Meeting and advising clients in person, by telephone and remotely. Drafting legal documents and correspondence. Providing clear, practical and client-focused legal advice.
Maintaining accurate file management and compliance standards. Building strong relationships with clients and professional contacts. Supporting senior fee earners on more complex matters. Contributing to the continued success and growth of the department.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (NQ – 2 years' PQE). Experience within a Private Client department gained during training, qualification or post-qualification practice.
Knowledge of Wills, Probate and Lasting Powers of Attorney. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail. A professional, empathetic and client-focused approach.
