Project QS

Overview

In this role you oversee multiple Oxford-area projects for a well-established main contractor, managing commercial aspects from £100k to £1m. You report to the Managing QS and ensure effective cost control and procurement across sites within 30 miles of Oxford. You will help deliver projects on time and within budget, contributing to the firm’s reputation for delivering value and quality.

Responsibilities

• oversee multiple projects within a defined geographic area
• manage cost reporting and commercial controls
• procurement support and supplier liaison
• administration of contractual and change processes
• coordinate with site teams and stakeholders
• report to the Managing QS
• support project delivery within budget and schedule

Key requirements

• experience as Quantity Surveyor in a main contractor environment
• ability to handle projects valued £100k-£1m
• location in or near Oxford (within 30 miles)
• strong cost control and procurement skills
• ability to work under guidance and report progress to senior QS
