Project Reporting Manager - Defence

Overview

In this role, you will lead performance reporting and project controls initiatives to drive efficiency and client value. You work within the Performance & Reporting management team to design, implement, and roll out reporting processes and KPIs. You’ll guide and grow a diverse team, present recovery recommendations to senior stakeholders, and coach clients on best practices. This is a chance to shape reporting discipline across complex defense and infrastructure programmes and to contribute to measurable project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Drive implementation and continuous improvement of performance reporting and interfacing project controls to deliver client benefits
• Develop performance and reporting management plans aligned with project requirements and best practices
• Lead the rollout of changes to reporting processes and embed new practices
• Promote the benefits and requirements of performance reporting within project teams
• Select, implement, administer and maintain reporting systems and procedures
• Lead implementation and change control of reporting hierarchies and approaches
• Define KPIs and the performance measures dictionary
• Lead teams of project controls/reporting professionals to deliver consistent, value-adding information
• Present performance recovery recommendations to stakeholders and senior management
• Train and coach clients and junior team members on performance and reporting practices
• Undertake line management activities including career development and performance management

Key requirements

• Experience in reporting on infrastructure-related projects (e.g., Engineering/Defense/Utilities/Energy)
• Experience supporting configuration and setup of project reporting systems
• Project controls related qualification (e.g., PMQ/Project Planning & Controls/EVM/Risk Management)
• Experience using data analysis tools (Power BI/Tableau/QlikView)
