Python Engineer – Get Trading Experience- London

Overview

In this role you will join a fast-paced trading desk to build and maintain Python-based tools for data analysis, portfolio construction, and risk breakdown of ETFs. You’ll work closely with two traders in a modern trading technology team focused on automated algos and rapid app development. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role at a leading HFT firm with an open culture and strong technology emphasis. You’ll shape tooling and analytics that power market-making on multiple exchanges.

Responsibilities

• Develop tools to analyze data patterns and support portfolio construction and risk management
• Price and break down ETF products and support market-making activities
• Build and maintain trading systems, rapid application development, and trading algorithms
• Provide financial and operational support to the desk and collaborate with traders
• Work in a Linux-based environment and leverage open-source tech to ensure scalable, robust performance

Key requirements

• Python with standard data processing libraries (scikit-learn, NumPy, pandas)
• Web development experience (Nginx, Flask, JavaScript)
• PostgreSQL
