Job Description Senior Quality & Compliance ManagerPermanent | Full-timeThis is an exciting opportunity for an experienced quality and technical leader to join a forward thinking fresh produce business, taking ownership of quality, food safety, compliance, and product management functions.

Reporting into the senior leadership team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping quality strategy, driving continuous improvement, and embedding a culture where food safety, compliance, and customer expectations sit at the heart of every decision.

You'll lead and develop high-performing teams while ensuring the business consistently delivers against customer, certification, and regulatory requirements. Working cross-functionally with operations, commercial, and customer-facing teams, you'll provide strategic leadership across quality management systems, risk management, audits, certifications, and product performance, helping to drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction. What you'll be doingAs a Senior Quality & Compliance Manager,

your responsibilities will include

Leading, developing, and coaching Quality and Product Management teams to drive engagement, accountability, and high performanceCreating a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and customer focus throughout the operationDeveloping and delivering the site's Quality and Compliance Strategy, aligned with wider business objectivesProviding strategic leadership for food safety, quality standards, compliance performance, and customer satisfactionEnsuring quality management systems remain effective, efficient, and aligned with customer, legal, and certification requirementsMaintaining oversight of HACCP, TACCP, traceability, pest control, hygiene, and wider food safety management systemsIdentifying, assessing, and mitigating technical and compliance risks across the businessLeading governance activities and ensuring corrective and preventative actions are effectively deliveredMaintaining industry-leading audit standards and supporting the successful delivery of customer and third-party auditsDriving and maintaining BRCGS certification standards and organic certification complianceLeading the investigation and resolution of significant customer complaints, quality concerns, and compliance issuesDeveloping and monitoring quality KPI's, trends, and business performance measuresDriving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product consistency, customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and waste reductionProviding leadership and strategic oversight to Product Management functions, ensuring specifications and customer requirements are consistently achievedUsing data and performance insight to support decision-making and identify areas for improvementBuilding strong relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, auditors, and certification bodiesChampioning the highest standards of food safety, health and safety, sustainability, and environmental responsibility across siteWhat we're looking forWe're looking for a passionate and commercially aware quality leader who can combine strong technical expertise with proven people management skills.

You'll be comfortable influencing stakeholders across the business and creating a culture where quality is everyone's responsibility. Ideally, you'll have: Significant leadership experience within a Technical, Quality, or Compliance function within the food or fresh produce sectorA strong understanding of food safety legislation, retailer requirements, and industry best practiceProven experience managing BRCGS audits and maintaining certification standardsExcellent knowledge of HACCP, TACCP, traceability, allergen management, hygiene, and risk management systemsExperience leading customer audits, third-party audits, and certification auditsA track record of delivering continuous improvement projects and driving operational excellenceStrong leadership skills with experience coaching, developing, and motivating high-performing teamsThe ability to analyse quality data and performance trends to drive informed business decisionsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsA proactive, strategic mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and customer satisfactionExperience working within a fast-paced food manufacturing, packing, or fresh produce environmentWhat's in it for you?
