Quantity Surveyor

Overview

In this role you will oversee the full commercial management of earthworks projects, from contract review to final accounts. You will work within a construction team focused on end-to-end project delivery and proactive risk management, maintaining strong client relationships and robust financial control. You will support the wider team and contribute to securing future work while upholding health and safety standards. This position offers a chance to shape project outcomes within a major regional contractor and collaborate across earthworks, demolition and waste management operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full commercial management of projects from contract review to final accounts
• Manage subcontract procurement, valuations, and cost reporting
• Ensure accurate financial control and timely certificate payment
• Maintain strong client relationships and proactively manage risk
• Support the wider team and uphold professional standards
• Contribute to securing future work while focusing on health and safety

Key requirements

• Degree or NVQ in Quantity Surveying
• CSCS Card
• Experience in Earthworks projects
• Excellent communication skills
• Problem-solving skills
• Basic computer literacy (emails, etc.)
• Knowledge of NEC / JCT contracts
• Chartered Member of RICS / CIOB
• Experience working as a subcontractor
