The company have been operating for close to 100 years’ and have always been a family-run business. They carry out a range of new build and refurbishment projects across the Education, Healthcare, Residential and Social Housing sectors, as well as other public buildings.
They are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to come on board and strengthen their commercial team; somebody that has extensive experience working for Main Contractors on new build and refurbishment schemes across a range of sectors.
Responsibilities
Price/forecast the cost of the different materials needed for projectsTrack changes to the design and/or construction work and adjusting budget projections accordinglyProcure or agree the services of contractors and/or subcontractors who work on the construction of the projectMeasure and value the work done on siteValue subcontractors workLiaise with the client and other construction professionals, such as Site Managers, Project Managers and Site EngineersWrite extension of time lettersExperience: Track record working for a reputable Main ContractorExperience working on new build and refurbishment projects across the Education, Healthcare, Residential / Social Housing sectorsExcellent all round commercial skills and awarenessAble to work on own initiative / autonomously on projectsExcellent relationship building and interpersonal skillsAble to commute to Barnet, Herts on a daily basisIf you are a Quantity Surveyor with the right experience and you are interested in this opportunity, please apply with an updated CV or call Rob on: 07733 529 573
