Quantity Surveyor – Nuclear Sector Location: Bridgwater, Somerset Sector: Nuclear / Energy / Major Infrastructure Background: MEP / Mechanical / Construction / Engineering Nuclear Experience: Desirable, not essential Quantity Surveyor – Bridgwater, Somerset An excellent opportunity is available for a Quantity Surveyor to join a major project team working within the nuclear and energy sector in Bridgwater, Somerset.

This role is particularly suited to a Quantity Surveyor who wants to move into the nuclear industry and develop specialist experience on large-scale, technically complex projects. Previous nuclear experience is not essential.

Candidates from MEP, mechanical engineering, building services, construction, infrastructure or other engineering-led environments are encouraged to apply. The opportunity offers a strong platform for professional development, exposure to major projects and a clear route towards more senior commercial positions.

Your responsibilities will include

* Managing project costs, budgets, forecasts and commercial reporting. * Supporting procurement, tendering and subcontractor management. * Reviewing valuations, applications for payment, variations and final accounts. * Identifying commercial risks and opportunities. * Supporting contract administration and change management. * Working closely with technical and project teams to ensure commercial considerations are incorporated into project delivery.

MEP & Mechanical Background A background in MEP, mechanical engineering or building services would be particularly valuable. Experience with mechanical services, HVAC, piping, process systems, plant and equipment or specialist engineering packages would provide a strong foundation for the role.
