Thisisauniqueopportunitytoplayakeyroleindeliveringahigh-profile,time-criticalservicethatmustbesuccessfullyimplementedbytheendof2026,withthepotentialtoleadtoapermanentposition.
AsaRecyclingOfficer,youwillbethepublicfaceoftheservice,workingdirectlywithresidentstosupporttherolloutanddriveparticipation. Wearelookingforself-starterswhoareproactive,highlymotivated,andresults-focused,withstronginterpersonalandcustomerserviceskillsandapassionforenvironmentalissuesandbehaviourchange.
Whiletheroleisprimarilyfield-based,thereisasmalloffice-basedelement,includinguseofWord,Excel,andPowerPoint,alongsidegeneralprojectsupport. Thisisanexcitingopportunitytomakeatangibledifferenceinthecommunitywhilecontributingtoamajorenvironmentalinitiative.

DealingwithStreetSceneandWasteissues,consultations,problemsolvingandidentifyinganyareaswhichcanbedevelopedintoaproject.(30%) Attendingschools,promotingtheimportanceoflittercollectionsandenvironmentalinitiatives,educatingstudentsonallareas,developingenvironmentalprojectstoenhancethecommunitiesandallowingchildrentotakeownership.(20%) LiaisingwithavarietyofgroupsplanningeventslargeandsmallensuringtimescalesandHealthandSafetyrequirementsaremet.(20%) Responsibleforundertakingenforcementactionincollaborationwithotherenforcementservices.(15%) EnsuringallPCCHealthandSafetystandardsareadheredtoatalltimes.(5%) Overseeingstaffandvolunteersateventsandprojects,preparingriskassessmentsandbeingresponsiblefortheirwellbeingandthesafetyofthegeneralpublicatevents.(10%) RolemeasuresRecyclingOfficerRecyclingAdministrator VoluntarygroupsaddvaluetocorePCCoperationalstandardsandfunctions.
