Roofer Location: Kirklees Council, Flint Street, Fartown, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, HD1 6LG Pay Rate: £17.17 per hour PAYE / £22.30 per hour Umbrella Temporary Contract Length: 4 - 5 Months, Full-Time Kirklees Council is currently seeking an experienced Roofer to join its Repairs & Maintenance team on a full-time temporary contract for the next 4-5 months.

As the Council's in-house maintenance and repair contractor, the Repairs & Maintenance service delivers a first-class repairs, maintenance and refurbishment service across local authority housing, public buildings and associated organisations throughout Kirklees.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled roofer looking for a stable, full-time contract with a respected local authority. Day-to-day of the role You will be responsible for carrying out day-to-day roofing repairs, maintenance, refurbishment and renewal works across a variety of Council-owned and external client properties.

General roofing repairs and planned roofing schemes Maintenance, repair, refurbishment and renewal works Roofing work on domestic properties, schools and public buildings Diagnosing roofing defects and carrying out remedial works Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales Using a handheld mobile device to receive jobs and accurately record completed work Travelling throughout the district and surrounding areas to meet operational requirements Maintaining positive relationships with tenants, customers and stakeholders Promoting a professional image of Kirklees Council at all times Deliver high-quality roofing repairs and maintenance services.

Ensure customer satisfaction through quality workmanship, professional conduct and prompt service. Complete all relevant documentation and records accurately, including timesheets and job completion records. Maintain compliance with all Health & Safety requirements and safe working practices.

Keep up to date with developments and improvements within the roofing trade. Represent Kirklees Council professionally when working with tenants, customers and external clients. Required Skills and
