Are you an organised School Administrator with hands-on experience in SIMS, Arbor, or Bromcom? Welcoming primary schools across Blackpool are hiring dedicated School Office & SIMS/Arbor Administrators to manage busy front-of-house operations and pupil data management starting this September 2026.
If you have previous school office experience or a strong administrative background in education, local authority, or healthcare data management, this role offers a stable, term-time-only schedule at the heart of the school community.
Key Responsibilities
School MIS & Data Management: Maintain and update student records, admissions, attendance marks, and census data using SIMS, Arbor, or Bromcom. Front-of-House Reception: Act as the welcoming first point of contact for parents, visitors, contractors, and local authority representatives.
Attendance Administration: Run daily first-day contact registers, log student absences, and produce weekly persistent absence reports for pastoral leads. School Communications: Draft and distribute parent newsletters, emails, text alerts, and consent forms via ParentPay / Schoolcomms / Arbor.
General Administrative Support: Handle incoming calls, post, filing, basic reprographics, and lunch money/trips administration. Candidate
Requirements
System Experience: Working knowledge of school Management Information Systems (SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom, or ScholarPack). Communication: Professional, polite, and confident telephone manner with strong customer service skills.
Efficiency: High level of literacy, numeracy, and IT proficiency (MS Office / Google Workspace). Safeguarding Awareness: Understanding of school visitor protocols and data protection regulations (GDPR). Compliance: Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to process one prior to September).
