SEN SCHOOL ADMINISTRATOR Location: Reading, RG1 Start Date: ASAP Contract: Full-time Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm / school hours - This may vary slightly Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience About the RoleWe are seeking a highly organised, compassionate and proactive SEN School Administrator to join a specialist school in Reading (RG1) as soon as possible.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced school administrator who enjoys working in a supportive environment and is confident dealing with pupils with additional needs, parents/carers, staff and external professionals.

The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the school office, while providing a welcoming and professional service to pupils, families and visitors. Key Responsibilities Provide efficient day-to-day administrative support to the school and wider staff team.

Act as a professional and welcoming first point of contact for parents, carers, pupils, visitors and external professionals. Manage incoming telephone calls, emails and enquiries, ensuring these are dealt with appropriately and efficiently.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date pupil records and school databases. Support with attendance administration, including monitoring attendance, recording absences and following up unexplained absences. Maintain confidential SEN and pupil documentation, ensuring records are accurate and appropriately stored.

Support the administration of EHCPs, annual reviews and meetings where required. Liaise with parents/carers regarding appointments, meetings, attendance and general school queries. Assist with safeguarding administration, ensuring relevant information is recorded accurately and escalated to the appropriate member of staff.

Maintain confidentiality and comply with GDPR and school data protection procedures at all times. Prepare letters, reports, spreadsheets, meeting documentation and other correspondence. Support the organisation of meetings, appointments, reviews and school events.

Maintain effective electronic and paper filing systems. Assist with the processing of invoices, purchase orders and other general financial administration where required. Support the school leadership team with administrative tasks and projects.
