School Cleaner

Cleaner Independent School | Harrow Area, North West London £16.94 per hour (Umbrella) | 20 Hours per Week | Temp to Perm Opportunity We are recruiting for a Cleaner to join a well-established independent school in the Harrow area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and hardworking individual to become part of a supportive site team responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors. The position is offered on an initial temporary basis with the potential to become permanent after the first month.

Working Hours Monday to Friday 3:30pm to 7:30pm 20 hours per week All-year-round position Pay & Benefits £16.94 per hour (Umbrella) Temp to perm opportunity 25 days annual leave Holiday to be taken during school holiday periods Ongoing training and development opportunities Supportive and friendly working environment Key Responsibilities Clean classrooms, offices, corridors, toilets, and communal areas to a high standard Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately Replenish toiletries, tissues, and cleaning supplies Use cleaning products safely and in line with COSHH regulations Follow all health and safety procedures Maintain cleaning equipment and report faults when required Monitor stock levels and notify management when supplies are running low Provide cover for absent colleagues where necessary Carry out additional cleaning duties as required Candidate Requirements Previous cleaning experience preferred Knowledge of cleaning products and COSHH regulations desirable School cleaning experience beneficial but not essential Good spoken and understood English Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual cleaning duties Able to work independently and as part of a team Reliable, hardworking, and self-motivated Professional, friendly, and approachable Willing to undertake training as required Safeguarding The successful candidate will be expected to adhere to all safeguarding policies and procedures.
