Section Engineer

JOB OPPORTUNITY – SECTION ENGINEER We are currently recruiting for an experienced Section Engineer to join a major rail infrastructure project based in Hindley. The project will involve significant civil engineering and railway infrastructure works, with a key focus on the replacement and installation of footbridges, alongside associated structural and civils packages.

Key responsibilities will include

Overseeing the replacement and installation of new footbridges. Managing and supervising day-to-day engineering activities on site. Setting out works and ensuring construction is delivered in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.

Coordinating subcontractors and site teams to ensure works are completed safely and efficiently. Managing quality assurance, inspections and site documentation. Monitoring progress against programme and identifying any engineering issues.

Ensuring all works comply with relevant health, safety and railway standards. Working closely with the wider project and engineering teams to deliver the works. Essential

requirements

Valid and in-date PTS (Personal Track Safety). Previous experience as a Section Engineer within rail, civil engineering or infrastructure projects. Experience with structural works, bridge installations or replacements would be advantageous.

Strong setting-out and technical engineering knowledge. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Good communication and organisational skills.
