Senior Accountant

Overview

In this Accounts Senior role, you will prepare and review financial statements for a diverse client portfolio, ensuring statutory deadlines and regulatory requirements are met. You will mentor and review junior staff, while liaising with HMRC and Companies House to support clients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
• Advise clients on best practices and ensure regulatory compliance
• Mentor and review junior team members
• Liaise with HMRC and Companies House
• Assist in improving internal systems and processes
• Contribute to planning initiatives and project work led by senior management

Key requirements

• Minimum 5 years accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting principles and regulatory frameworks
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel
• Attention to detail and analytical abilities
