Role ResponsibilitiesThe Asset Management Lead is responsible for establishing, governing, and continuously improving the Asset Management System across the Heathrow Strategic Partnership. This role ensures asset performance, risk management, and lifecycle decision-making are aligned to ISO 55000 principles and contractual objectives, delivering measurable improvements in reliability, cost efficiency, and long-term asset value.
Your responsibilities and activities will include: Asset Management System & GovernanceOwn and develop the end-to-end Asset Management System aligned to ISO 55000 / IAM frameworksAct as the recognised authority for asset management across the partnershipLead asset management maturity assessments and continuous improvement activitiesStrategy & Roadmap DeliveryDevelop and deliver the Asset Management Roadmap aligned to business objectivesLead the creation and governance of: Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP)Asset Management Plans (AMPs) Asset System StrategiesPerformance, Risk & ValueDefine and embed asset performance frameworks, KPIs, and asset health measuresIntegrate risk-based decision-making across maintenance, lifecycle, and investment planningEnsure maintenance strategies are aligned to asset criticality and operational impactLifecycle Planning & OptimisationOwn lifecycle planning (LCP) and long-term asset strategyEnable data-driven decisions on asset condition, obsolescence, and replacementAlign lifecycle investment with performance, risk, and business prioritiesContinuous Improvement & Digital EnablementIdentify and deliver asset management improvement initiativesDrive adoption of digital tools and data-driven practices to enhance performance insightEmbed a culture of continuous improvement and asset management capabilityStakeholder Alignment & IntegrationLead cross-functional integration across engineering, operations, projects, and supply chainRepresent asset management in strategic partnership initiatives with Heathrow and stakeholdersProvide expert advisory support on asset performance, risks, and strategyCompliance & AssuranceSupport ISO 55001 assurance, audits, and governance frameworksEnsure compliance with asset management policies, standards, and contractual requirementsRole Qualification and SkillsDegree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Asset Management, or related disciplineStrong knowledge of ISO 55000 / IAM principlesProven experience in: Asset management system development and maturity improvementDelivering asset management roadmaps and strategic initiativesStakeholder management within complex operational environmentsAbility to translate strategy into practical, value-driven outcomesSuccess ProfileStrong ownership of asset performance, governance, and outcomesAbility to operate across strategic, tactical, and operational levelsInfluential communicator across organisational boundariesData-driven and improvement-focused approachDelivers measurable improvements in reliability, risk reduction, and valueWhat we offer28 days annual leave (excluding public holidays)Bupa Medical CoverYuLife – Wellbeing membership with fast access to GP appointments, promotion of health and wellbeing along with daily quests to gain Yucoins that can be swapped for shopping vouchersA challenging work environment with lots of opportunities of career progression.
