This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly respected department handling complex, high value defendant clinical negligence matters, with strong opportunities for progression and involvement in client facing initiatives.
The RoleYou will manage a varied and high value caseload of defendant clinical negligence claims while contributing to the wider development of the team. Responsibilities include: Managing litigated and pre litigated clinical negligence casesConducting investigations to repudiate and/or conclude claimsLiaising with claimants, solicitors, clients, counsel and medical expertsObtaining documentation and instructing expertsLeading or contributing to business development and operational initiativesCompleting MI procedures and adhering to client protocolsMeeting financial and chargeable targetsEnsuring deadlines, quality standards and KPIs are metSupporting and developing junior lawyersWorking in line with the firm's values and policiesCandidate RequirementsYou will be a qualified solicitor with at least 5 years' PQE and bring: A genuine interest in the healthcare sectorStrong technical knowledge of clinical negligence and CPRExcellent communication and client handling skillsRigorous analytical ability and attention to detailStrong organisational and time management skillsThe ability to prioritise, multi task and work to strict deadlinesA flexible, proactive approach and the ability to work independently and as part of a teamIf you bring enthusiasm, commitment and a desire to develop your practice within a leading healthcare team, we would welcome your application.
