Senior Design Engineer

Overview

In this role, you will support the end-to-end development of projects across engineering, operations, and finance to drive value and informed decision‑making. You’ll assess new opportunities, analyze technical and financial data, and help shape cost‑effective project solutions. You will influence budgeting, planning, and execution while contributing to continuous improvement across the business. You’ll work with cross‑functional teams to deliver actionable insights and clear recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Support project development across engineering, operational, and financial workstreams
• Conduct technical, process, and financial analyses for planning and execution
• Evaluate bundled sales opportunities to improve project value
• Assist in feasibility assessment and design requirement gathering for new opportunities
• Develop cost estimates and analyze project expenditure for budgeting
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet project objectives
• Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations for stakeholders
• Monitor project data and identify process improvement opportunities
• Assist in risk assessments and support mitigation planning
• Ensure compliance with company standards and project requirements

Key requirements

• University degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• Minimum 6 years experience in project development, engineering, business analysis, finance, or related discipline
• Experience supporting projects through planning, analysis, and execution phases
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to interpret technical, operational, and financial information
• Experience preparing budgets, cost analyses, and business recommendations
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
