Senior Java Developer (AWS)6 monthsRemote working (Candidates must be UK based with full right to work)420.00 PD – Inside IR35OverviewWe are seeking a highly experienced Senior Java Developer with some proven lead experience, to join a major Government programme delivering secure, cloud-native digital services.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience building scalable Java applications within AWS environments and will play a key role in designing, developing, and enhancing microservices-based solutions. Essential Skills & ExperienceStrong commercial Java development experienceExperience delivering solutions within AWS cloud environmentsProven experience building and supporting microservices architecturesStrong understanding of secure software development practicesExperience developing RESTful APIs and integration servicesFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practicesExperience working within Agile delivery teamsStrong stakeholder communication and collaboration skillsPrevious experience delivering projects within Government or Public Sector organisationsKnowledge of AWS services such as: ECS/EKSLambdaAPI GatewayS3RDSCloudWatchIAMExperience with Docker and KubernetesFamiliarity with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormationExposure to automated testing frameworks such as Selenium or Cucumber, working alongside QA teams.
