Senior Quantity SurveyorLocation: Glasgow, ScotlandSalary: 60,000 to 74,000 + car & packageA leading main contractor is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to take commercial ownership of a high-profile infrastructure project in Glasgow.

The scheme involves delivery of a new waste water treatment plant and sludge processing facility, representing a flagship investment in Scotland's water infrastructure. Role OverviewThis is a site-based position, where the Senior Quantity Surveyor will act as the commercial lead, ensuring financial control, contract compliance, and effective risk management.

The role requires close collaboration with the site delivery team to secure cost, programme, and quality outcomes. Key ResponsibilitiesLead all commercial and contractual management on the projectManage subcontract procurement, administration, payments, and final accountsDeliver accurate cost forecasting, valuations, and commercial reportingEnsure full compliance with NEC3 contractsOversee risk, change, and claims management to protect project and business interestsPartner with project leadership to achieve delivery targetsEssential RequirementsProven track record as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contracting environmentStrong working knowledge of NEC3 contractsBackground in infrastructure, utilities, or civil engineering projectsStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsDetail-focused and proactive approach to commercial leadershipDesirableExperience delivering projects within the water sectorProfessional membership or working towards chartership (RICS, ICES, or equivalent)Benefits and Career DevelopmentSalary 60,000 - 74,000Car allowance of 5,000Contributory pension schemePrivate healthcare25 days annual leave plus bank holidaysStructured career path within a market-leading contractorHybrid working arrangement - 3 days in the office / 2 days remoteThis is a commercially critical role on a flagship Scottish infrastructure scheme, offering immediate impact and clear long-term progression.
