Reporting to the Programme Manager you will play a key role in ensuring supportability is designed into the solution from the outset while enabling responsive and effective in-service support delivery throughout the programme lifecycle.
Acting as a primary interface with MoD stakeholders, partner organisations and internal teams, you will lead the delivery of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and Post Design Support (PDS) activities within a multi-contractor defence environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the primary interface for MoD stakeholders and partner organisations on ILS and support delivery mattersLead the planning and delivery of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and Post Design Support (PDS) activities across the programme lifecycleSupport development and delivery of the Integrated Support Plan, Supportability Case and associated element plansEstablish collaborative relationships across customer, supplier and internal teams to ensure successful programme outcomesDeliver proactive and agile responses to ongoing support and service delivery requirementsEnsure supportability requirements are designed into the system throughout development and in-service phasesLead or oversee: Supportability AnalysisLogistics Readiness activitiesSoftware lifecycle supportTechnical documentation deliveryObsolescence management servicesDisposal analysis and disposal managementAvailability, Reliability & Maintainability (AR&M) analysisDRACAS activities and reportingLogistics demonstrationsFirst Point of Contact oversight for support-related activitiesProvide leadership and direction to a small team of ILS and PDS specialistsSupport technical decision-making and prioritisation across support delivery activitiesPromote collaborative working practices across engineering, logistics and programme teamsDrive continuous improvement and best practice within supportability and service delivery activitiesRequired skills, qualifications and experienceUK Citizenship with current SC clearance, or the ability to obtain SC clearanceProven experience delivering Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), Product Support, Supportability Engineering or Service Delivery within complex defence, aerospace or government programmesExperience working across CADMID/T lifecycle phasesStrong understanding of defence supportability standards and processes, including: DEF STAN 00-600 Integrated Logistics SupportDefence Logistics FrameworkKnowledge in Defence (KiD)DRACASFMECASupport Options MatrixExperience leading multidisciplinary teams within customer-facing environmentsStrong stakeholder management skills with the ability to operate effectively across customer, supplier and partner organisationsExcellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced and evolving programme environment with minimal supervisionDemonstrated leadership, initiative and problem-solving capabilityDesired SkillsExperience with ILS requirements verification and Support Maturity LevelsKnowledge of lifecycle product support methodologiesPrevious experience supporting space and/or ground systems programmesExperience working within MoD or defence prime contractor environments
