Vehicle Technician - Permanent/Full Time Location: Southampton Salary: Up to £38,890 Basic Salary | OTE £45,000+ Including Bonus and Overtime Hours: 45 Hours Per Week, Including Weekends on a Rota Basis Why Apply Up to £38,890 Basic Salary with OTE of £45,000+ Individual Efficiency and Team Performance Bonuses Overtime Opportunities Available 25 Days Holiday Plus Bank Holidays, Increasing with Service Manufacturer Training, Including EV, Hybrid and High-Voltage Systems Ongoing Diagnostic Training and Career Progression Opportunities Company Pension and Life Assurance Worth Twice Your Salary Comprehensive Workshop Tool Insurance Employee Discounts on Vehicle Purchases, Leasing, Servicing and Repairs Employee Referral Bonus of Up to £2,000 Exclusive High-Street Retail and Lifestyle Discounts Opportunity to Work Within a Leading UK Automotive Group Vehicle Technician Role Carry out vehicle servicing, routine maintenance and mechanical repairs Complete oil changes, filter replacements and component repairs Diagnose and repair mechanical faults across braking, steering, suspension and engine systems Carry out electronic vehicle health checks (eVHCs) Identify additional maintenance and repair requirements Complete warranty repairs in line with manufacturer standards Use workshop diagnostic equipment and technical systems Accurately complete digital job cards and repair documentation Maintain high standards of workshop productivity and first-time fix rates Complete all repairs efficiently to required quality and safety standards Vehicle Technician Requirements Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician, Motor Vehicle Technician or Service Technician Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, IMI, City & Guilds or equivalent Level 2 qualified Technicians with at least 3 years of relevant experience will also be considered Experience carrying out vehicle servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills Experience working within a franchised dealership would be advantageous Confident using workshop diagnostic equipment Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship Full UK Driving Licence Must have the right to work in the UK How to Apply If you're interested in this Vehicle Technician vacancy in Southampton, please submit your CV or contact Octane Recruitment for further information.
