Site Engineer (Plymouth) – FulltimeAn opportunity to work on our BAM Nuttall/Keir JV project in Plymouth, spanning over the next 5 yearsPAYE basis£300 - £380 per day depending on experience/qualificationsPaid Holidays: 30 days per year (including bank holidays)Must Have:- Academic Qualifications - Civil Engineering / construction related Qualification (HNC, BSc, MSc, BEng, MEng)- May be working towards Chartership/Incorporation with IStructE, ICE or other appropriate professional body.- Familiar in Leica Survey equipment (GPS, Total Station, Optical & digital levels) for Setting Out & Survey- Experience in reinforced concrete structures using system formwork is essential.- Awareness of commercial processes.- Familiar with Quality Management System and familiar in writing RAMS.- Proven people and project management skills.- Team leader with organisational skills.- Good standard of IT skills- Flexible to working weekends and out of hours (on a rota basis to suit project requirements)- Supervisor HSE test- SSSTS- CSCS Card – White PQP/AQP or Red Trainee or Red ProvisionalThis role is site based - Monday to Friday45 hours per week 07:30am - 17:00pmKey Responsibilities:Assist with setting out works using provided site control and maintaining dimensional accuracySupport preparation of as‑built drawings, quality records, and drawing registersCarry out quality checks, surveys, and assist with safety, environmental, and quality inspectionsAssist with recording and testing of workmanship and materials (e.G. concrete, drainage, piling, brickwork)Provide engineering support to resolve technical queriesMaintain daily diaries, trackers, and site recordsSupport short‑term progress monitoring against time, quality, and quantitiesAssist with procurement of site materials and equipmentPrepare site sketches and ensure clear communication to the workforceEnsure calibration and certification of setting‑out equipmentComply with and support implementation of the Kier SHE Management SystemExperience / Knowledge:Understanding of reinforcement, detailing, and sequencingExperience with formwork and falseworkExposure to Temporary Works (FRC) preferredSome Benefits:PensionTraining and upskilling providedSafe working environmentLife InsuranceSecure regular incomeLodge/ Digs can be available.
