Software Development Engineer, Alexa For Shopping MultiModal Experiences

Overview

In this role you will design and lead the development of a high-impact feature inside Alexa For Shopping, serving millions of customers. You collaborate with product, design, and multiple tech teams to prototype and ship robust solutions with rapid iteration. You’ll own end-to-end delivery, mentor teammates, and contribute to scalable, reliable systems. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product management and cross-functional teams to implement and enhance user-focused solutions.
• Partner with design to define and implement optimal user experiences.
• Manage assigned tasks and on-call duties.
• Own feature end-to-end across the development lifecycle.
• Participate in hiring and mentoring of team members.
• Promote knowledge sharing within and beyond the team.
• Communicate clearly within team and external groups.

Key requirements

• Experience in professional software development
• Experience programming in Java, C++, or C# with object-oriented design
• Experience with full software development lifecycle, including code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations
• Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
