Job Description Birchwell Associates is supporting a fast-growing renewable energy business with the recruitment of experienced Solar PV Electricians across Birmingham and the wider West Midlands. The company delivers a range of domestic and commercial Solar PV projects and is looking to add skilled electricians who can take ownership of installations, testing and commissioning while maintaining high standards on site.
This is a permanent position offering varied project work across the region. What Youll Be Doing Carrying out Solar PV electrical installationsWorking on domestic and commercial projectsCompleting AC and DC electrical worksInstalling and commissioning invertersTesting, inspecting and certifying completed installationsDiagnosing faults and carrying out remedial workSupporting battery storage installationsReading and working from electrical drawingsEnsuring work is completed in line with current regulationsWorking closely with installation teams, project managers and customersAbout You Youll ideally be an experienced electrician who has already worked on Solar PV projects and is comfortable managing your own workload on site.
The successful candidate is likely to have: Previous Solar PV installation experienceNVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent18th Edition qualificationStrong testing and fault-finding abilityExperience within domestic and/or commercial environmentsKnowledge of PV systems, inverters and associated equipmentA professional and reliable approach to site workFull UK driving licenceAdditional experience with battery storage, EV charging or larger commercial solar installations would be an advantage.
