Job Description Steel ErectorSalary: £34,000 £39,000 per annumPosition: Steel ErectorLocation: High Wycombe, travelling to various project locationsHOURS : 08:00-17:00 Monday Thursday & 07:00 16:00 FridaysWe are seeking an experienced Steel Erector who can not only deliver high-quality on-site installation work but also take responsibility for managing day-to-day activities on site.
The successful candidate must be capable of working independently, coordinating tasks, and ensuring smooth progress across multiple stages of steel erection. Key ResponsibilitiesErect structural steel frames, beams, columns, and associated componentsRead and interpret fabrication drawings and site plansWork collaboratively with site supervisors, crane operators, and fabrication teamsInstall bolted connections, bracing, and secondary steelworkOperate lifting equipment, hand tools, and power tools safelyMaintain high standards of site safety and housekeepingAdapt to changing project requirements and assist with on-site problem-solvingRequirementsProven experience as a steel erector on commercial or industrial projectsStrong understanding of structural steel installation and site safetyPhysically fit and comfortable with manual handling dutiesAbility to read and work from technical drawingsCSCS card required; IPAF, CPCS, or slinger/signaller qualifications advantageousComfortable working at height and in varying weather conditionsReliable, punctual, and able to work effectively within a teamFull UK driving licenceOwn transport essentialAbility to weld would be advantageousWhat We OfferCompetitive pay based on experienceOpportunity to work on varied and technically interesting projectsSupportive team environmentOvertime payWorkplace pensionOn site parkingCompany eventsIf you are practical, dependable, and enjoy a hands-on role within a busy construction-focused environment, we would like to hear from you.
