Support Worker

Job Description: Female Support Worker – Halifax £15 per hour + holiday pay + pension 2–3 days per week | Flexible hours to be confirmed We have an exciting opportunity to join our VP team as a Support Worker, supporting a young woman in her early 20s who is four years post-traumatic head injury.

Our client is physically able and highly motivated, but benefits from support with managing fatigue, planning activities, attending appointments and working towards her rehabilitation goals . She enjoys being active and loves getting out into the community — particularly going to the gym.

She is looking for someone who is positive, encouraging, proactive and able to suggest activities and provide gentle motivation to help her get started with tasks . This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys helping others, encouraging independence and supporting a young person to make the most of their interests and rehabilitation journey.

What you'll be doing Your role will include: Supporting our client to access the community and take part in activities she enjoys. Supporting her to plan and structure her day. Encouraging meaningful interaction with the world around her.

Supporting with daily living tasks, including cooking and domestic duties. Helping her manage fatigue and balance activities appropriately. Supporting attendance at appointments and rehabilitation activities. Motivating and encouraging her to work towards her personal goals.

Maintaining accurate daily records. Promoting independence, confidence and choice wherever possible. What we're looking for We're looking for a support worker who is reliable, enthusiastic and genuinely passionate about making a positive difference.

You'll ideally be someone who : Is confident supporting someone in the community. Is proactive and able to suggest activities and opportunities. Has a positive and encouraging approach. Can help someone initiate and complete tasks while promoting independence.

Is organised and able to support with planning and appointments. Enjoys working as part of a supportive team. Is willing to travel and support our client during her Manchester trip.
