Zest Education is looking for enthusiastic, dedicated and caring Teaching Assistants to work full-time in secondary schools across Staffordshire, starting in January 2027.

The Role As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other members of school staff to support students throughout the school day. You will help create a positive, inclusive learning environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed.

Your responsibilities will include

Supporting students with their learning across a range of secondary school subjects. Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce classroom learning. Helping students stay focused, engaged and motivated. Supporting pupils with additional learning needs and adapting your approach to suit individual requirements.

Assisting teachers with classroom activities and maintaining a positive learning environment. Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence and independence. Building strong, professional relationships with students and school staff.

What We’re Looking For We are keen to hear from candidates who are: Passionate about supporting young people and their education. Patient, approachable and enthusiastic, with a positive attitude. Confident communicating with secondary school-aged students.

Reliable, flexible and committed to working full-time. Able to use their initiative while working effectively as part of a team. Experienced in education, youth work, coaching or mentoring — although previous school experience is not essential.
