Technical Sales & Development Engineer

Overview

In this role you will support product development and technical improvements for a fibre optic connectivity specialist. You’ll perform hands-on testing, diagnostics, and CAD-based documentation while expanding product knowledge and providing technical support to customers and suppliers. You’ll work closely with the MD and engineering team, with occasional international travel and a clear path to technical progression within a growing, long-established business.

Responsibilities

• Support product development and engineering improvement
• Perform hands-on testing and diagnostics with test equipment
• Create CAD work and technical documentation for products
• Develop deep product knowledge through collaboration with MD and engineering team
• Provide technical support to customers and suppliers
• Occasional international travel

Key requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics (or similar)
• AutoCAD experience
• Strong communication with customers/colleagues
• Full driving license
• Commutable distance from Swindon
