p strong Senior User Researcher /strong /p p strong Contract /strong /p p strong Outside IR35 /strong /p p strong Initial 6 Months /strong /p p strong Remote with ad hoc travel /strong /p p br /p p Were seeking an experienced strong Senior User Researcher /strong to support the development of a nationally significant capability focused on tackling the growing challenges posed by synthetic media and deepfake technologies. /p p This role will play a key part in shaping the user experience of an emerging service that supports government, law enforcement, industry, academia and research communities in understanding, benchmarking and responding to synthetic media threats. /p p br /p p strong The Role /strong /p p You will lead user-centred design activities across the programme, helping define how users interact with the service and ensuring development priorities are informed by research, evidence and stakeholder engagement. /p p br /p ul li Conducting user research with a wide range of stakeholders across government, industry, academia and research communities /li li Validating assumptions and identifying user needs, challenges and opportunities /li li Developing personas, user journeys and user stories /li li Gathering, documenting and prioritising functional and non-functional requirements /li li Translating user needs into actionable product features and development priorities /li li Creating wireframes, prototypes and user experience designs /li li Planning and facilitating user testing sessions /li li Analysing feedback and iterating designs based on user insights /li li Creating and maintaining a prioritised feature backlog /li li Supporting the development of product roadmaps and future service enhancements /li li Working closely with Service Design, Product, Delivery and Technical teams to ensure alignment across the programme /li li Ensuring adherence to GDS standards, accessibility requirements and government best practice /li /ul p br /p p strong Key Skills Experience /strong /p ul li Proven experience in User-Centred Design, User Research, UX or Product Design roles /li li Experience delivering digital services within the public sector or highly regulated environments /li li Strong user research and stakeholder engagement capabilities /li li Experience creating personas, user journeys, service blueprints and user stories /li li Ability to define and prioritise user and business requirements /li li Experience conducting user testing and translating findings into product improvements /li li Strong wireframing, prototyping and visual communication skills /li li Experience working within agile, multidisciplinary delivery teams /li li Excellent communication and facilitation skills /li li Ability to work with ambiguity and shape requirements in emerging and evolving problem spaces /li /ul p br /p p strong Desirable /strong /p ul li Experience working with GDS standards and government digital services /li li Knowledge of AI, synthetic media, emerging technologies, cyber security or data-driven services /li li Experience using tools such as Figma, Jira, Confluence or similar collaboration platforms /li /ul p br /p
