Job Description Location: Rugby, WarwickshireSalary: Up to £39,000 per annumHours: Monday to Friday + 1 in 3 SaturdaysJob Type: PermanentOur client is a busy and established vehicle dealership in Rugby and is looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician / Motor Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Mechanic to join their growing workshop team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician looking to join a professional dealership with a steady workload, modern facilities and opportunities for long-term progression. The Role As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repair of vehicles to a high standard.
Your duties will include: Carrying out routine vehicle servicing and maintenanceDiagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faultsCarrying out MOT preparation and general vehicle inspectionsUsing diagnostic equipment to identify faultsCompleting repairs efficiently and accuratelyCarrying out brake, clutch, suspension, steering and exhaust repairsMaintaining accurate records of work completedEnsuring all work is completed in line with manufacturer and dealership standardsWorking as part of a busy and professional workshop teamMaintaining a clean, safe and organised working environmentAbout You The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Vehicle Mechanic, Motor Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician, Car Mechanic or Service Technician , ideally within a main dealership, independent garage or automotive workshop .You should have: Previous experience in a vehicle technician / mechanic roleStrong mechanical and diagnostic skillsExperience servicing and repairing passenger vehiclesKnowledge of vehicle diagnosticsGood attention to detail and a strong work ethicThe ability to work independently and as part of a teamA full UK driving licenceNVQ Level 3, City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent automotive qualification would be advantageous.
