Welding Supervisor - £38,000 A Year

Advanced Resourcing are currently representing our client in the Dudley who are currently looking for a Welding Supervisor to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong welding and structural welding background to lead a small production team and help maintain quality and delivery targets.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, coach and schedule a team of fabricators and welders on the shop floor- Perform TIG/MIG and structural welding (steel/plate, sub-assemblies) as required- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, CAD prints and welding procedures- Ensure workmanship meets welding/quality standards and maintain first-off checks- Monitor productivity, manage shift priorities and report progress to management- Maintain a safe working environment; enforce COSHH, PUWER and site safety procedures- Train apprentices and upskill team members; carry out performance reviews- Assist with materials planning, tooling checks and basic machine setupsSkills structural welding experience essential)- Welding qualifications and certifications (e.G., CSWIP, welding certificates, or equivalent)- Experience supervising or leading a production/team environment in sheet metal fabrication- Strong ability to read technical drawings and welding symbols- Good communication, organisation and problem-solving skills- CSCS card or willingness to obtain; valid right to work in the UKDesirable:- Experience with plasma/laser cutting, press brakes and CNC fold programming- Familiarity with quality systems (ISO 9001) and welding procedure specifications (WPS)What we offer:- £38,000 per year- Permanent full-time role, weekday shifts (overtime available)- Supportive team environment and opportunities for training and progression- Pension scheme and workplace benefits as per company policy.
