Workday Data Migration Consultant

We are seeking experienced Workday Data Migration Lead Consultants to support a strategic customer engagement involving the migration of employee and payroll-related data from Workday to a new payroll platform. The ideal candidates will possess strong functional knowledge of Workday processes along with hands-on experience in data migration, data validation, and data transformation activities.

This is an urgent requirement supporting a time-sensitive customer project, and the selected resources will play a key role in ensuring a seamless transition with minimal business disruption.

Your responsibilities:

• Analyze and understand existing Workday data structures and business processes.
• Lead and support end-to-end data migration activities from Workday to a new payroll platform.
• Gather, extract, transform, cleanse, validate, and reconcile data throughout the migration lifecycle.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, payroll teams, and technical teams to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
• Develop data mapping documents and migration strategies.
• Identify and resolve data quality issues and migration-related risks.
• Perform migration testing, validation, and post-migration support activities.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy requirements.
• Support project timelines and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.

Your Profile

• Proven experience (8+) working experience in Workday Data Migration and Workday Integration exposure.
• Experience of systems development change lifecycles, best practices and approaches.
• Strong experience working with Workday HCM and related business processes.
• Proven experience in data migration projects, preferably involving HR and payroll systems.
• Experience with data extraction, transformation, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation.
• Understanding of employee, organizational, payroll, and workforce data structures.
• Ability to analyze complex data sets and troubleshoot migration issues.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced project environment.
• Experience migrating data from Workday to payroll platforms or other HCM solutions.
• Knowledge of payroll processes and payroll data structures.
• Experience with Workday reporting, EIBs, integrations, or data conversion tools.
• Workday certification is an added advantage.
• Workday Learning implementation and architecture.
• HR, Learning and Talent technology ecosystems.
• Identity and Access Management (SSO, MFA, Entra ID, SailPoint).
• Retail workforce and frontline colleague technology.
• Enterprise integration architecture and API-led design.
• Blueprint development and target-state architecture definition.
